In the age of instant gratification, where consumers expect next-day (or even same-day) delivery, e-commerce giants are constantly pushing the boundaries of efficiency and innovation. At the forefront of this revolution are autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), tireless assistants that tirelessly navigate warehouses, streamlining workflows and maximizing productivity.

Today, we'll delve into four inspiring case studies showcasing how leading e-commerce companies – Coupang, Radial, Cubyn, and Mercado Libre – have harnessed the power of Quicktron Robotics' AMR solutions to conquer their unique logistical challenges. From skyrocketing demand to diverse inventory, each project stands as a testament to the transformative potential of automation in the ever-evolving world of e-commerce.

Coupang

Automated Coupang's Largest Logistics Center in South Korea

Coupang, the e-commerce giant of South Korea, reigns supreme in its Amazon-like dominance in the region. Known for its fast deliveries and vast product selection, Coupang faced a critical challenge: keeping up with skyrocketing demand while maintaining accuracy. To stay ahead of the curve, they needed an automation system that delivered both speed and precision, minimizing errors and securing their competitive edge.

To address the challenges Quicktron deployed a fleet of 700 mobile robots within a sprawling 60,000sqm facility. Backed by Grey Orange's intelligent software, these robots transformed the fulfillment process. With a combination of software and hardware (AMRs), our "Goods-to-Person Picking" system streamlined the storage, movement, and delivery of shelves to picking stations, the RCS system optimized task management and resource allocation for exceptional efficiency.

The results were staggering: a 300% increase in efficiency, processing a whopping 60,800 pieces daily during a 16-hour operation. This collaboration between Coupang, Quicktron, and Grey Orange stands as a testament to the evolution of e-commerce, solidifying Coupang's position as South Korea's leading player and setting a new benchmark for speed, precision, and fulfillment excellence.

Radial

Europe’s First-ever Hybrid Goods-to-person Project

Radial Inc., a leader in e-commerce fulfillment and tech solutions for premier brands, prioritizes delivering high-value customer experiences, flexibility, scalability, and business focus. However, as e-commerce orders continued to escalate, the company faced the challenge of adapting to agile automation. They sought streamlined resource allocation and aimed to centralize the storage of diverse items under one roof for centralized processing.

Quicktron addressed the challenges by providing a hybrid goods-to-person automation solution. In this 8500 sqm area, we deployed over 299 mobile robots that navigate the warehouse effortlessly delivering goods to pickers at workstations.

Key Features:

Storage optimization: Small items are stored in totes in vertical racks maximizing the vertical space utilization while large items such as pallets are stored horizontally accommodating diverse inventory in the same operational area.

Hybrid Workstations: The system processes both large and small items centrally using centralized workstations that provide pickers with maximum convenience to pick all inventory sizes at one central location maximizing throughput and speed.

Automated replenishments of the put-away: The automated replenishments of the put-away walls fast-track fulfillment operations eliminating manual work, errors, and time wastage.

The hybrid system achieved an impressive daily output efficiency of 40,000 order lines, reduced labor costs by 40%, and boosted order fulfillment efficiency by 400%.

Cubyn:

Cubyn Powers Up Phase 2 of Warehouse Automation with 300 QuickBin Robots

Building on the success of Phase 1, logistics giant Cubyn has taken its warehouse automation to the next level. This time, they've deployed a 300-strong fleet of QuickBin robots, a mix of tall C56 and mini M5 models. This strategic move tackles two key challenges: maximizing storage for their small package focus and accelerating order fulfillment.

Quicktron's innovative QuickBin technology proved the perfect fit. Its space-saving design and speedy order fulfillment capabilities impressed Cubyn from the start. But the benefits go beyond just hardware. Quicktron's data-driven inventory management system categorizes items based on ABC analysis, placing high-demand products closer to workstations. This smart sorting, combined with the robotic assistants, has led to a remarkable 4x increase in fulfillment speed.

This Phase 2 expansion not only underscores the reliability and effectiveness of Quicktron's robotics but also solidifies Cubyn's commitment to cutting-edge solutions. Together, they're setting a new standard for efficient and agile logistics in the small package game.

Mercado Libre

Latin American Giant Trusted Quicktron for Warehouse Automation

Latin American e-commerce giant Mercado Libre is poised to transform its Brazilian logistics operations through a groundbreaking collaboration with Quicktron Robotics, a leader in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). This move comes on the heels of Mercado Libre's $3.6 billion investment in Brazil last year, aimed at bolstering technology, logistics infrastructure, and warehouse capacity to meet surging demand.

At the heart of this revolution lies Quicktron's innovative goods-to-person technology, chosen by Mercado Libre to automate its warehouses. The ambitious project unfolds in three phases, culminating in the deployment of over 300 AMRs. Phase 1 kicked off successfully on January 8, 2024, with over 100 robots already streamlining operations.

The project leverages a traditional shelf-to-person approach, where goods are meticulously organized on customized shelves for efficient retrieval. These shelves are then seamlessly transported by the robots to designated workstations, significantly boosting order fulfillment speed by 300%. Moreover, robotic precision eliminates errors and delays, with an impressive 99.99% accuracy rate.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, these four case studies paint a vivid picture of the transformative power of AMR technology in the e-commerce landscape. From the staggering efficiency gains achieved by Coupang to the agile adaptability demonstrated by Radial, and from the space-saving prowess of Cubyn to the pioneering spirit of Mercado Libre, each project reveals the diverse applications and undeniable benefits of robotic assistants.

As the world of e-commerce continues its relentless pace, one thing is clear: AMRs are no longer a futuristic novelty, but a present-day reality, driving innovation and shaping the future of fulfillment. Quicktron the Pioneer of Hybrid Intralogistics Automation leading the revolution with innovative robotics.
